Engineering & Design
D. L. Wright provides custom mechanical engineering and design services for specialized industrial, robotic, and laboratory applications. Projects range from individual components, fixtures, and tooling to complete machines and purpose-built equipment, with designs developed around each customer’s specific application and operating requirements. Design capabilities may include 3D CAD modeling, mechanical design, machine and equipment design, tooling and fixture design, prototyping, design modification, and development of custom solutions around existing customer equipment.
Machining & Fabrication
D. L. Wright provides in-house machining and fabrication capabilities to produce custom components, assemblies, and specialized equipment. Work ranges from individual parts and prototypes to large fabricated structures and complete equipment, with components manufactured and fitted to the requirements of each application. Our equipment includes CNC machining centers, mills, lathes, and welding equipment for fabrication.

Multi-Task Varestraint® Weldability Testing Systems
Purpose-built systems for evaluating weldability and susceptibility to solidification cracking under controlled test conditions.
Melt Pool Viewer (MPV)
D. L. Wright in collaboration with Gray Beards Engineering produces the Melt Pool Viewer (MPV). This technology monitors and provides spectrometry, weld pool area, and thermal gradient data in real-time. The MPV system is designed for each customer’s welding application.
